What will the schedule and line up be like?
We've had some requests from people planning on traveling about how the schedule will work. Though some things might change along the way here is some general information that is confirmed already. Please bear with us, film festival planning (done right) takes some time!
The Rudolph Valentino Film Festival 2010 will take place May 6th to May 9th, 2010.
Our festival will take place in Los Angeles. We are trying to secure some special venues for special screenings but this is not yet finalized.
As for our film lineup rest assured we will be showing as many Rudy films as possible, and no matter what day you attend you are guaranteed a good Rudy film! We'll be spanning his career and showing the best of his films, plus some rarities. As for other silent films we will be showing the best and most enjoyable...films a person new to silent film would enjoy. There will be a few rarities screened and if we have our way they will be ones never shown before. However we can't give titles, just rest assured it will be wonderful!
There will be individual tickets, day passes, and festival passes available for purchase. The Rudolph Valentino Society members will get first chance and first news of screenings, plus a discount to the festival and some other special to be announced goodies. Consider joining today!
One final note is that this will be a festival to remember. Each movie will be a special event, and it is our personal mission that everyone leave thrilled to have been the first to attend such a wonderful and grand event. Valentino did everything with style, so are we.
Our film lineup will be announced a few months before the festival, around the time tickets will go on sale.
